There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:
I can see the fingerprints of god
When I look at you
I can see the fingerprints of god
And I know its true
You're a masterpiece
That all creation quietly applauds
And you're covered with the fingerprints of god
So as I have been blogging about we lost my dad 3 days before Christmas, its been a month already and accepting this is very difficult. This was the sky the day I was going to Long Island for the wake. I was on the train looking out the window. I haven't seen a sky like this in about 30 years. when I spoke to my best friend that night she said the same thing, "did you see the sky around 4:00, it looked like the seat of Heaven" I miss you dad, a lot.

What a difficult time this must be for you! I pray that God will hold you tight and that your memories and that gorgeous sky will warm your heart.
My mother died six years ago on Dec. 20. It's never easy to lose a parent but right before a holiday just makes it so much worse for us. I kept envisioning her joyful and happy, knowing that there could be no better place to celebrate!
Your post brought tears to my eyes. My prayers are with you as you go through this difficult time. I hope God sends you another beautiful sky to make you smile.
I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. It's amazing how God can use things like a sunset to remind us of our loved ones and how amazing He is.
So sorry for your loss. My dad also died right before Christmas. It's hard, I know. Offering up a prayer for comfort and peace for you.
What a beautiful sunset...sunsets like this always take my breath away!
Beautiful photos! I haven't stopped by in a while. So sorry about your dad. You will be in my prayers.

sorry about your dad.
I am so sorry. As I read back through your posts...a tough time. I hope that the struggle of daily life will not add to your sadness. I hope that you have some easy days, where you don't have to worry about the basics. I hope that there are friends and family close by.
I wanted to reach out to you and tell you I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my precious Mom this past Christmas Eve. I live on Long Island, so you and I were both at the funerals of our loved ones just days apart. You are in my prayers.
I hope God sends you another beautiful sky to make you smile.
